How A Full Funnel Partnership Helped Bond Touch Generate $1.5M+ In Revenue

13 completed tests. 8 winners. A 61.5% win rate across the programme.

Bond Touch helps over a million people in long-distance relationships feel close. We partnered with them across research, UX redesign, Shopify development, cold traffic landing pages and an ongoing testing programme to turn that emotional pull into more revenue from the traffic they already had.

The challenge

People loved the idea. They just were not scrolling far enough to buy it.

Bond Touch sells an emotional product: a bracelet or necklace that lets you feel a touch from someone far away. Over a million people already use it. The demand was never in question. But session recordings told a different story about the website. On the flagship Bond Touch 4 product page, everyone saw the top of the page and almost nobody went further. Only 17.8% scrolled past the first 10% of the page. Fewer than 4% reached the end. Value props, benefits and reviews sitting below the fold were effectively invisible. Underneath that, technical friction was quietly costing orders: a 4.3% JavaScript error rate and dead clicks on the cart icon. And with 62% of sessions on Mobile Safari, every one of those problems was a mobile problem first. So we treated the site the way its customers experience it: on a phone, in the first ten seconds, deciding whether to keep going.

Who actually buys

Couples, friends and family living apart. They are not buying hardware. They are buying: when you cannot be there, you can still be felt.

The strategy

Fix the leaks. Move the story up. Then test everything.

This was not a CRO retainer bolted onto an existing site. We owned the full funnel: the research, the redesign, the Shopify build, the cold traffic landing pages, the seasonal campaign pages and the experimentation programme that ran across all of it. 32 projects in total, from product launches to speed optimisation.

The goal was not

How do we make the site look better?

It was

How do we get the emotional case in front of a mobile visitor before they leave?

Then measure every change against revenue per visitor and profit per visitor, not just clicks.

What we did

Three parts of the funnel. One principle each.

Win 1 · Cart · Dynamic drawer upsells

Sell the second bracelet where the first one gets added

Bond Touch is a product you buy for two people. The cart is the natural moment to suggest the matching bracelet, the Heart necklace, or a Lite App add-on. The original cart drawer showed what you had added and a subtotal. Nothing more. We built a dynamic cart drawer that surfaces relevant upsells based on what is already in the cart, and tested it against the control from 8 September to 6 October across 335,783 visitors and 917 orders.

A modest lift that leads from day one and never flips is a rollout decision, not a retest. Returning customers already trusted the brand. They just needed the second product put in front of them.

Win 2 · Cold traffic · Advertorial landing page

Tell the story before you show the spec

Cold traffic from Meta does not arrive wanting a bracelet. It arrives missing someone. So instead of sending ads straight to a product page that 96% of people never scroll, we built a story-led advertorial that earns the scroll one section at a time. It opens on the feeling, not the feature: how it works in three steps, 1 million+ users as proof, the missing-them objection block, a comparison against other ways to stay in touch, an FAQ, and only then a full buy box with the bundle offer.

A product page answers what is it. An advertorial answers why does this matter to me. Cold traffic needs the second question answered first.

Move the whole case above the fold

If under 4% of people reach the bottom of a page, everything that matters has to live in the top 20%. The redesigned homepage and product pages lead with the emotional promise, Feel closer. No matter the distance., the offer, and trust signals (1M+ users, free shipping, 30-day returns) in the first screen, on mobile first. Alongside the redesign we shipped the Bond Touch 4 POP launch in four phases, the Heart Necklace PDP optimisation, the BFCM 2025 campaign landing page and homepage, and fixed the JavaScript errors, dead cart clicks and broken app store deep links our QA found along the way.

Honest accounting

8 of 13 won. Here is what the other 5 taught us.

A 61.5% win rate is well above the 30% industry benchmark, which is exactly why we aim for velocity: the more tests, the more you learn. But a win rate only means something if you also report the tests that did not win.

The bigger result

$1.5M+ in revenue. $93k a month in projected uplift.

Research, design, development and testing, all pulling in one direction. This is what a full funnel partnership looks like when it compounds.

Your best argument is probably below the fold.

We combine customer research, CRO strategy, UX design, Shopify development and A/B testing to find out what is stopping more of your existing traffic from buying. Then we test it.
